Last weekend Ingimar and I headed to Sonar Reykjavik down at Harpa. Sonar is an International Festival of Music, Creativity & Technology festival held in Reykjavik and Barcelona. I was lucky enough to be given a Press Pass to vlog the three day event.
Sónar Reykjavik was intimate and proved that it's not always the largest stage and the biggest crowds that matters. Iceland is a small country. Harpa, a small venue. The line up, well, it was epic. There were around 3,500 guests across the 3 day festival held at Harpa - the two main stages were used along with and a smaller seated concert hall were used, and the car park was turned into a nightclub with local and international DJs performing. The line up mixed international artists with the most current of Icelands thriving music scene.
And it was a massive success.
OMG Sleigh Bells rocked @sonarreykjavik last night. Major ear worm!! I loved them!!!!! And the energy was amazing by @sleighbells !! I'm ready for the last night of Sonar Reykjavík tonight...ready for De La Soul + Fatboy Slim!! #Sonar2017 #SonarReykjavik 🙌🏼 (I even gave Alexis a leg up back onto the stage!!)
