INDIA: eeeeeBANG!!

I survived last night and the bangers did stop so a good night’s sleep was had. However, today being a national holiday, I have been out and about eating yummy food and avoiding explosions in the streets – yes they set of bangers 24/7. I use the term ‘bangers’ as most of these explosions are just that, a bang and possibly some flash of light but not so much the amazing sparkle of colour and twinkle which you might usually expect from a fireworks display.

So, tonight, once again I am sitting here with my earphone in and bangs going off outside. I should point out that it is in fact an amazing time of year here in India. Diwali, probably the biggest festival in India, is filled with colour, sparkle, excitement and full blown explosions filling the sky everywhere. Standing out on my balcony I can see explosions of colour filling the skyline, cheers and laughter coming from all around and smoke drifting over the city.
